Is my credit card information totally safe with you?
As we use a third party credit card processor, we don't have your credit card information with us. And therefore we don't store your credit card information on our system. We believe that your credit card information is totally secure.
Can I register my domain name with you?
Not at the moment, we are currently working to add this feature.
Do you support international domains?
Yes, but in most cases you need to handle the domain registration process by yourself. We cannot provide support for domain registration for all the available country code. However, feel free to ask us if you have any questions.
Can I have more than one domain pointed to my account?
Yes, for an additional one time fee of $9.95. This is done by aliasing the new domain to the existing domain. This means all of your domain pointed to one account will exactly have the same content. They are not domain pointers however, the additional domains have the same features as the original domain.
Which registrar do you register domains with?
We currently do not offer domain registrations.
Do you support subdomains? Can email be sent to subdomains? Like me@subdomain.example.com?
Yes, we support subdomains. Yes, email can be sent to subdomains.
Do you offer unlimited bandwidth?
No, it is not possible to offer unlimited bandwidth at all. That would be lying to our customers. Like everybody else, we are required to pay for the amount of bandwidth we consume to our upstream providers. We then in turn pass this fee to our customers in order to provide enough resources to our customers. This also applies to other hosts as well, not just us.
Can I prepay for an additional monthly data transfer/bandwidth?
No. If you need more monthly data transfer, you need to upgrade your account. We will bill any additional data transfer (if any) at the end of every month.
Can I try your system before deciding?
Sure, we can give you one week free trial of our service. Get it here.
What will happen when my site go over the data transfer limit?
We will bill you for the additional data transfer incurred during the month. In the future our system will have the capability to block sites that exceed their data transfer limit. This will be done at the owner's option of course, so you will have the choice to continue using more data transfer and pay more at the end of the month, or stop using more data transfer but no need to pay more at the end of the month.
Can I host adult related sites?
No, we don't have necessary resources to host adult related sites. Please see our terms and policies for more detail.
Do you allow MP3 files?
Yes, we have no problem as long as those MP3 files are legitimate.
Do you support ASP, Microsoft SQL Server and/or Microsoft Access database?
We use Chili!Soft ASP to run ASP scripts on our servers. We do not offer Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access database. We offer MySQL and PostgreSQL database instead, both have the same function as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access. You can use ASP with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
Do you offer Windows based hosting accounts?
No, we don't provide Windows based hosting. We found that Windows is not adequate enough for us to provide our customers with our high standard quality of service. However, we support some of the popular Windows technologies. We support Microsoft® FrontPage ® 2000 server extensions, allowing you to publish your site using Microsoft® Frontpage® 2000 client. We support Chili!Soft ASP to allow you to run ASP (Active Server Pages) on our server. Every account is WebFolders enabled, allowing you to publish your files using WebFolders feature of your Microsoft® Windows®. We also provide you with an easy to use ASP to PHP converter if you need it. We plan to have more Windows migration utilities in the future.
I don't have credit card. Can I do a wire transfer, check or money order?
No, we are sorry. We can only accept credit cards at the moment. We accept all the major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and American Express.
Do you have your own servers, network and equipment?
No, we outsource our servers to another party. We feel that doing development outside United States and outsourcing intrastructure to a United States based company will result in better level of service to our customers while providing our customers with the quality of US based Internet infrastructure. So, the fact that we don't own our equipment should not make you uncomfortable with us. It is also necessary for us to conduct our business this way in order to expand ourselves to provide service using infrastructure in another part of the world while still maintaining competitive pricing structure. It is also a well known fact that almost all web hosting companies operate their business this way, however not all of them will admit that. On the other hand we are confident with our own quality and prepared to tell our customers the truth.
Are you a reseller of another hosting provider?
No, while we don't have our own network and data center, we are not a reseller of another provider.
I have a script that is very complicated to install. Can you install it for me?
No, we do not provide free support for installation, configuration and debugging your scripts. We can provide that support for $30 for 30 minutes. However we will waive that fee if it turns out that the problem is with our system.
Which brand of control panel do you use? Can I see a demo?
We build our own control panel. We feel that our control panel can compare favorably to other control panel out there. We do not have a demo at the moment. However we can give you one week free trial to get a taste of our control panel. You can get our free trial account here.
Do you support phone based technical support?
No, at the moment we provide technical support by email only. The way we are doing business makes it not feasible to offer phone based technical support. We also feel that email based support is more than adequate and most technical questions are easier to handle when communicated textually.
How soon will my account be activated?
It takes up to one business day to activate your account. Due to risky nature of web hosting business, we can't allow instant account activation.
Do you offer money back guarantee?
Yes, we offer 30 days money back guarantee. This is only valid when the customer is abiding to our terms during the stay with us. We also ask the user to provide the reason of cancellation, but this is not strictly required.
Can I have the output of phpinfo()?
Due to our unique PHP installation, the output of phpinfo is irrelevant. On our system, every account and subdomains have their own php.ini file, so you can have your own PHP configuration file that is not shared with another user, this including adding and configuring additional PHP extensions! We also provide almost all the possible extensions of PHP that you can configure and use. Whenever there is no legal or technical problem, be assured that the extension you want is available for you to use! You can configure your PHP settings for your account or subdomain from our easy to use SiteManager. Please see our white paper on this subject for more information.
My Perl scripts require module Foo::Bar. Do you have Perl module Foo::Bar installed on your servers?
We install a few popular third party Perl modules on our servers, so there is a chance that the module you need is already installed. However, in the case that the module doesn't exist on our servers, you can install the module by yourself. Our SiteManager is equipped with a tool to install most Perl modules easily. And you don't even need to modify your scripts to make it work with user installed Perl modules.
What kind of hardware and software do you use?
Due to always changing nature of the economics of computer hardware, we can't tell you the specifics that is valid for all time. We can only say that we use Intel architecture based servers with reasonable processor and other peripherals available at that time. On the software side, we use industry standard RedHat Linux operating system.
