can configure our spam filter from webmail. The various levels of spam
protection have their own advantage and weakness in the method used, required
effort and its effectiveness.
Spam Filter Level 1
Spam filter level 1 is a SpamAssassin based filter. With this you will be able to start filtering spam without spending a lot of effort. You just enable it and our system will start filtering identified spam emails. Weakness: it is not as effective as other methods. Advantage: doesn't require a lot of effort.
Spam Filter Level 2
Spam filter level 2 is a statistical bayesian filter. With this filter, you will need to teach our system to identify which emails are spam and which ones are not. You can teach the filter from webmail. The more emails get learned, the more effective this filter will become. Weakness: you need to teach this filter before it can distinguish spam from non spam emails. Advantage: it is very effective after having learned a lot of spam and not spam emails.
Spam Filter Level 3
Spam filter level 3 is a challenge and response filter. This filter is based on the concept of whitelisting and blacklisting. If somebody not listed on your whitelist tries to send you email, our system will send a confirmation email to the sender. If the sender confirms then he/she will be whitelisted and his/her email will be delivered. After that, he/she will not need to be confirmed again as his/her address will be already on the whitelist. Any email sent from blacklisted address will always be rejected. You can edit blacklist and whitelist from webmail. This filter is also equipped with ways to smooth communication with non human correspondent such as mailing list or HTML form. Weakness: any person who sends you email will need to confirm him/herself on the first sending, special treatments are required for communicating with mailing list and HTML form. Advantage: its effectiveness is almost perfect, to send you spam, a spammer will need to confirm him/herself.
"Junk Mail" Folder
Any email that identified as spam will be delivered to your Junk Mail folder on your account. You can search this folder for misidentified email within this folder. To prevent this folder from getting too big, you can set our system delete any old emails in this folder automatically.
